Selection criteria for Step and raise Tiles

Bullnose Edges:
The bullnose at the edge of the tile makes the step tile safe and comfortable to step on with out any fear. Also in a bullnose the chipping of tiles at the edges are not possible and presents a very elegant look.
Grooved/Embossed
The Step tiles (Tread) should have grooves or embossed to get better grip while climbing to avoid getting injured.
Thickness of the tiles
The thickness of the tiles can be for Stair application as this ensures safety and lends confidence
Homogeneous body
Eventhough step tiles are also availble in vitrified body in GVT (Glazed vitrified tiles) a tread tiles made of fullbody homogenous vitrified tiles scores over others in terms of technical parameters because of it's homogenous nature and has better abrasion resistance
